Oly Homes modular home construction is typically eight to twelve weeks per home, after building approvals have been completed.
Yes. Modular homes are permanent structures, meet the same building requirements, and are financed as standard housing. This is not the case for transportable or relocatable homes.
No. The process is nearly identical, just often more efficient because engineering is confirmed earlier.
In most cases, your Private Building Certifier approves your modular home for construction. Their role is to assess your plans and ensure the design meets all relevant building codes, structural requirements and safety standards. Once satisfied, they issue the Building Approval (BA), which is the legal document that allows construction to begin.
Your local Council may also be involved to provide site-specific information such as zoning details, flood levels, bushfire ratings, soil requirements or any overlays that might affect your build. In some cases, council may also need to approve planning permits if your site has special conditions.
For most standard residential modular homes, the certifier handles the full approval process.

Oly Homes moved mountails to have our home finished and delivered before we went into lockdown. While there were a couple of surface issues to be rectified, they were fixed quickly with no drama.
